Perfect French, Master Art, High Pigment or Hybrid Polish? What Works Best for a French Manicure?
Comparison of 4 Excellent PRO products for a white french: PRO Colors 069 Extreme White, Gel High Pigment, Master Art and Perfect French. Which one gives a perfect smile line?
Which product should you choose for a white french? A comparison of 4 Excellent PRO products
The classic white french is one of the most demanding nail designs. A perfectly even smile line, full coverage and the right thickness of the tip have a huge impact on the final result. In the Excellent PRO range you will find several products you can use for a french, but each of them was created with a slightly different purpose in mind.
PRO Colors 069 Extreme White - for those who like classic hybrid polish

PRO Colors 069 Extreme White is the least pigmented and at the same time the runniest product in this comparison. Thanks to its fluid consistency, it will work great for those who like working with a classic hybrid polish and building up the color intensity themselves.
Its biggest advantages are:
- a very fluid consistency,
- easy application for those used to hybrid polishes,
- an inhibition layer, which lets you rub in powders or decorative effects.
Keep in mind, however, that lower pigmentation means the product has to be distributed very evenly. On longer nails and a wider french tip, sheer patches may appear, so the application requires a bit more precision.
Gel High Pigment 01 - more coverage and more durability

Gel High Pigment was created for surface nail art. It is much more pigmented than a hybrid polish and has a thicker consistency, so it provides stronger coverage from the very first layer.
Its advantages are:
- very good coverage,
- increased durability,
- no inhibition layer, which makes it a great choice for nail art as well.
The thicker consistency, however, makes it easier to build a slight ridge on the nail tip when painting a french. In practice, this means the surface needs to be leveled more carefully with a top coat.
Master Art Jasmine - a nail art product, not one for a classic french

Master Art is the most pigmented and at the same time the thickest product in this comparison. It was created primarily for very fine nail art, such as one stroke, zhostovo or the wet-on-wet technique.
We do not recommend doing a classic french with it straight from the pot. There are two reasons:
- the very thick consistency makes painting the smile line uncomfortable,
- the product was designed for extremely thin layers, so with a thicker application it may not cure properly.
More experienced nail techs can mix a small amount of Master Art with a hybrid polish, a base or another product to increase pigmentation. This solution, however, requires a very good understanding of the photopolymerization process, which is why it is not recommended for beginners. Badly chosen proportions can overpigment the product and cause it to cure incorrectly in the lamp.
Perfect French Creamy White - a product created specifically for the french

Perfect French was developed precisely with the perfect french in mind. It combines the most important advantages of the other products while eliminating their biggest limitations.
Its consistency sits between a hybrid polish and Gel High Pigment. Thanks to this, the product:
- is easy to control,
- does not create a large ridge on the tip,
- gently “sticks” to the brush, which makes it easier to draw a perfectly sharp smile line.
In terms of pigmentation it is also the golden mean. It is more pigmented than PRO Colors, but at the same time it was developed so that even a thin layer provides full, snow-white coverage with no risk of sheer patches.
An additional advantage is the inhibition layer. Its role is not only to increase the adhesion of the top coat to the finished french, but also to make the whole system safer. It reduces the risk of problems caused by small mistakes during application or photopolymerization, such as the top coat lifting from the tip, chipping or the white line wearing off. Products with an inhibition layer are more forgiving in this respect and give you a bigger safety margin during work.
Summary - which product should you choose?
You can do a white french with any of the products described here, but each of them was designed for a different purpose.
If you like working with a classic hybrid polish and value a fluid consistency - PRO Colors 069 Extreme White will be a good choice.
If you expect more coverage and often do surface nail art as well - Gel High Pigment is worth reaching for.
Treat Master Art first and foremost as a product for professional nail art. It was not designed for doing a classic french.
However, if the french is one of the designs you do most often, Perfect French will definitely be the best choice. It is a product developed specifically for this task - it provides perfect coverage, a comfortable consistency, easy brush control and a bigger safety margin during application and photopolymerization.
