Gel knowledge compendium - through the eyes of a nail stylist

A guide to 10 Excellent PRO gels through the eyes of a stylist: All in One, Cloud Mousse, Fiber Gel Polyamide Plus, Gel with Thixotropy, Instructor Gel, Economic Gel, Gelatix 2.0, Hard Liquid Gel, Principessa 1.0 and 2.0. Consistency and work with each product for everyone.

1. All in One

All in One

Consistency: thin gel, in a bottle. Self-levels very quickly while having strong surface tension.

Working with the product: despite the thin consistency, after curing it’s one of the hardest gels in the Excellent PRO range. Surface tension is key here - when working with a small amount of product, the gel doesn’t flood the cuticles and beautifully holds an even surface.

Ideal for reinforcing the natural nail plate, short styling and quick refills. Works great where we don’t need a large amount of mass and care about a smooth surface without the need for filing.

2. Cloud Mousse

Cloud Mousse

Consistency: jelly with a “cloud” consistency that self-levels very quickly under brush movement.

Working with the product: closest to a jelly, but compared to Gelatix 2.0 it’s softer and gentler under the brush - practically imperceptible during work.

Thanks to its unique properties, it can be applied to as many as four nails at once, even with longer styling. The gel doesn’t flow off, doesn’t flood the cuticles, and at the same time levels beautifully, which significantly reduces filing.

It’s currently the hardest gel in the Excellent PRO range.

3. Fiber Gel Polyamide Plus

Fiber Gel Polyamide Plus

Fiber Gel Polyamide Plus - work

Consistency: thin gel with the addition of polyamide fibers.

Working with the product: the thin consistency combined with the fibers makes the gel ball hold its structure better than classic thin gels. The surface tension is more pronounced, which allows working with a small amount of product - even on four nails at once.

A hard gel, ideal for light building, extensions, corrections and quick refills. Excellent for the method without filing the surface.

Recommended for both those who like thin gels and beginners - it gives a little more time to work and control the product.

4. Gel with Thixotropy + Multifunction Gel

Gel with Thixotropy

Multifunction Gel

Consistency: medium-thick self-leveling gel with thixotropic properties.

Working with the product: one of the most versatile and most popular Excellent PRO gels - the first one to appear in the brand’s offer. Levels very nicely and gives plenty of time to work, which makes it the ideal choice for beginners.

Works well with both short and long styling. A hard gel, suitable for almost any kind of styling. An additional advantage is the widest color range - the ideal “everyday gel”.

5. Instructor Gel

Instructor Gel

Consistency: thick gel that, despite its structure, levels beautifully.

Working with the product: a unique product - has no equivalent on the market. It’s a combination of self-leveling gel and jelly. With a larger amount, it levels itself, and with conscious work, it allows application on several nails at once.

Doesn’t flow off, works excellently with the brush and smooths very quickly - faster than Cloud Mousse.

Fantastic for working with dualform: from below it doesn’t “pour out” like strictly self-leveling gels, and after removing the excess with a thin brush, the underside surface levels nicely, which significantly reduces filing.

Despite the name, it’s not intended exclusively for instructors - available to every stylist after verification, including beginners.

6. Economic Gel

Economic Gel

Economic Gel - work

Consistency: self-leveling gel between thin and medium-thick.

Working with the product: slightly more fluid and more elastic than Gel with Thixotropy. Ideal for natural styling, work on the natural nail plate, refills and short extensions.

A great choice for those who find Gel with Thixotropy too thick.

The range also includes effect versions - Star Gel and Pearly Gel - ideal for glitter Baby Boomer, French or subtle styling with effect.

7. Gelatix 2.0

Gelatix 2.0

Gelatix 2.0 - work

Consistency: classic jelly - after taking out a portion, the gel in the jar doesn’t level, brush movements are visible.

Working with the product: a gel with very good thixotropy - after applying and working it on the nail, it can be partially leveled, but without the risk of spontaneous flow.

Very hard, ideal for long extensions and extreme shapes. Gives full control over the architecture - nothing happens without brush work.

Also recommended for beginners who know the rules of nail building and want time to calmly refine the shape. However, it requires more surface filing.

8. Hard Liquid Gel

Hard Liquid Gel

Consistency: thin gel, quickly self-leveling.

Working with the product: similar to Polyamide Plus, but without fibers - thanks to which the work is even faster. Ideal for short nails, thin and natural styling and small refills.

You can work on several nails at once, but a very small amount of product is key.

Great for the method without filing the surface. Natural colors make it the ideal choice for clients who value a subtle effect.

9. Principessa 1.0

Principessa 1.0

Consistency: dense, self-leveling glitter gels.

Working with the product: typically decorative products - very flexible, not intended for building. Heavily packed with hexagon-shaped glitter.

Ideal for structural decorations, Princess Nails, work in dualform or thin overpainting of the nail plate.

When applying to the entire nail plate, work very thinly and be careful that the hexagons don’t protrude - otherwise they may make later top leveling difficult.

10. Principessa 2.0

Principessa 2.0

Consistency: medium-thick, self-leveling.

Working with the product: unlike version 1.0, these are hard gels that allow full building of the nail architecture - both short and long.

Heavily packed with glitter and at the same time very comfortable to work with. Ideal for the dualform method, where you don’t have to worry about filing protruding particles.
