Excellent PRO System - the stylist's complete workflow

The Excellent PRO System simplifies a stylist's work and increases styling durability regardless of the nail plate. Complete scheme: dehydration, bonder, Multifunction Grafen Base. 5 rules of effective work with the system.

The Excellent PRO System was created to maximally simplify a stylist’s work and increase the guarantee of styling durability - regardless of the type of nail plate, nail length or chosen building product. It’s fully compatible with all light-cured products of the Excellent PRO brand, thereby eliminating the problem of matching products “to the type of nail plate”.

The key element of the system is Excellent PRO One Coat Multifunction Grafen Base, which creates a transition layer between the flexible nail plate and the hard building product. It’s thanks to this that you can work with any Excellent PRO product on any nail plate - without the risk of air bubbles. The system was created so that the stylist can focus on what’s most important: artistic work, choosing colors, consistencies and decorations, and not on wondering “what on which nail plate”.

The system in practice

1. Dehydration

Dehydrator or Multifunction Liquid (Excellent PRO brand products)

Stage 1 - dehydration

Dehydration consists of removing water from the upper layer of the nail plate. This is a mandatory step - thanks to it, light-cured products can connect directly with the nail plate, not with water particles on its surface.

2. Bonder

Bonder or HEMA Free Primer Bonder (Excellent PRO brand products)

Stage 2 - bonder

The bonder contains a monomer dissolved in a solvent, thanks to which in liquid form it reaches all the nooks between the corneocytes of the nail plate.

This brings two main benefits:

  • speeds up work - applying the bonder is faster than performing the rubbing-in with base
  • is more thorough - because it flows into all microstructures of the nail plate

The bonder prepares the nail plate for the next layer of the system and supports the application of grafen.

3. Excellent PRO One Coat Multifunction Grafen Base

Stage 3 - Multifunction Grafen Base

Grafen Base application

In the system, this base is applied by painting, not rubbing, in a thicker layer.

Its tasks:

  • creating a transition layer between the plate and a hard product
  • isolating the nail plate from pigments
  • increasing the adhesion and durability of styling

Very important: we cure the thicker layer of this base for a full minute in the Master Line or Master Line 2.0 lamp.

Pro tips - 5 rules of effective work with the Excellent PRO system

1. The faster, the better

As little time as possible should pass from the moment of dehydration to curing the base. The nail plate absorbs water from the nail bed, that’s why we want to connect grafen with the driest possible plate. In practice, about 1.5 min for the whole system.

2. Different lamp than Excellent PRO? Check the table

If you’re working with a lamp weaker than Master Line 54W, the grafen curing time extends from 1 minute to up to 2 minutes. Always check the manufacturer’s curing table.

3. Don’t combine the system with other brands’ products

Even such a simple element as degreasing the nail plate should be performed with an Excellent PRO product - Clean&Prep (99% isopropanol). Mixing systems can disrupt compatibility and adhesion.

4. Separate brush for grafen

If you use grafen in a jar, use a separate brush. The brush bristles shouldn’t contain building gel - the base must remain clean.

5. Multifunction Liquid - strong saturation of the cotton pad

The cotton pad must be very well saturated - until it “drips”. Thanks to this, the product reaches all nooks of the plate and ensures full dehydration.

Lack of the system - possible risks

Not following the full recommended system can lead to: air bubbles, poor product compatibility with the plate, gel pulling away from cuticles during polymerization, shortened styling durability, complaints from clients.

Example errors include:

  • skipping steps
  • using rubbing-in instead of a thicker layer of grafen
  • shortened curing in an inappropriate lamp
  • mixing products of different brands

If you go outside the system - you do so at your own risk. To modify the workflow, you must act consciously and know exactly what effect you expect. The Excellent PRO system was created to facilitate, speed up and stabilize work, which is why using it in full gives the best results.

The final result of styling depends, among other things, on the condition of the nail plate, proper preparation, application technique and using the full Excellent PRO system.
